Entity selection is one of the most important decisions for an investor.  Many tax and nontax issues should be addressed. Paul Cannataro, C.P.A. will present an informative review of the issues including:

3.      Tax Considerations in Selecting An Entity 

4.      Non Tax Considerations in Selecting An Entity 

5.      Self Employment tax exception for Real Estate Rentals and when the exception does not apply

Paul Cannataro is a practitioner whose Tax and Accounting practice is located in Drexel Hill, PA. He is a Pennsylvania CPA with an MS in Taxation and a Certified Financial Planner. Paul is a member of the Philadelphia Tri-County Chapter of PSTAP [formerly PSPA] and has served as President and Treasurer of the PSTAP state organization.  He has served on NSA’s Federal Tax Committee for the past eight years and has been Chairman of that committee for 5 years.  He has also been a member of the National Public Liaison Committee and has attended meetings in Washington DC representing NSA.  He appreciates the opportunity to be able to speak to DPI Landlord Group Members.

Saturday Newbie Meeting

Attention Newbies and DPI Members and associates

As a value added bonus for being a member or soon to be member of the area’s best real estate investment association in the area, come and participate in our Saturday Morning Breakfast Club.

Bill Becker, CEO of The American Real Estate Investors Institute and DPI Board member with over 35 years of investing experience, hosts a Q & A and information mentor session on the Saturday after the DPI Monthly Meeting. That is usually the 3rd Saturday of the month, but may sometimes be the 2nd Saturday of the month, depending on the calendar. This breakfast club meeting is held at the Clarion Hotel Restaurant 9 AM sharp. (Breakfast optional).

Subjects discussed but not limited to:

  • Getting Started
  • Evaluation
  • Rehabs
  • Foreclosures (Bills sweet spot)

Bring your notebook, pen and your listening/learning skills.

Chester Netters is a sub-group of Delco Property Investors. Valuable information
about Chester and doing business in Chester is shared by members and guest speakers. Chester Netters meetings take place  on an “as-needed” basis. 

We meet at Maggie Mays bar and restaurant, 951 E. 14th St., Chester, PA. 19013 (Maggie Mays phone # 610 490-0104) Meeting begins at 5:30 PM. There are no additional membership dues required, however, attendees do pay for their own dinners and share in the cost of any guest/s dinner/s.
