General Meeting (7PM – 9PM approximate)

Speaker: Don Beck

Topic: Landlording Made Easy

Don Beck was teaching elementary school when he found real estate. Within 60 months of starting his investing career he had purchased 80 rental units and retired from teaching at the age of 34.

Because he was so busy buying properties, he failed to learn effective landlording strategies. However, he quickly understood that, without rent checks, there was lots of negative cash flow. That’s when he realized he needed a strong property management system and a strong landlord friendly lease to control his tenants. He designed a home study course called Cruise Control Landlording and for many years has spoken to RE investor groups all over the country.

Don was President of DIG (Diversified Investor Group) for nine years and recently retired from the board after serving for 30 years. He has served on the Board of National REIA and was instrumental in starting National REIA’s “education with a vacation” cruises and was their cruise chairman for 13 years.
